Frequently Asked Questions

Miiwey is a non-profit carpooling platform designed to connect drivers and passengers who want to share rides and split travel costs fairly. Miiwey makes it easy to find reliable travel companions, save money, and reduce your carbon footprint while keeping carpooling safe and legal.

It’s simple:
• Drivers post their upcoming trips with details (origin, destination, date, time, available seats, suggested cost contribution).
• Passengers search for rides going their way and send a request to join.
• Once a request is accepted, both parties can message and call each other in-app to coordinate pickup.
• The passenger pays the driver directly using their agreed payment method.
Miiwey does not handle rides payments between the drivers and passengers.

No. Miiwey is not a taxi, ride-hailing, or commercial transport service. Drivers on Miiwey are private individuals sharing a journey they were already planning. Payments are meant to help cover costs, not to make a profit.
This keeps Miiwey legal and compliant with carpooling regulations.

• Drivers: must have a valid driving license, insured and roadworthy car, and comply with local driving laws.
• Passengers: must be 18 years or older (or accompanied by an adult).

Miiwey does not process payments between drivers and passengers.
All payments are arranged and handled directly between the driver and passenger (in cash or via agreed digital transfer).
Drivers may only receive payments to cover part of their travel expenses, no profit allowed.

Miiwey is totally free for all passengers to use.

Miiwey offers two access options for drivers:
• Subscription Plan: which offers unlimited access to post or book rides.
• Pay-as-You-Go Plan: fee per ride arranged (no subscription required).
